1800’s Mother of Pearl Thread Winder (#3)

Measures:  1”x1.5”

This is a nice thick, sturdy thread winder that I wouldn’t hesitate to use for it’s intended purpose!  It is beautifully carved with lovebirds on the front and a flower motif on the back.  There is no damage and no discoloration at all on this one.  This may have been part of a Palais Royal sewing box, made in Paris as they frequently used Mother of Pearl for many of their items.
