Antique woodworking tools including a square and an adjustable scribe (marking gauge), both with brass accents. The square has a 6" steel blade and a 4.75" wooden handle. It is in very good condition with a small amount of light surface rust on the blade and one dark spot on the handle, shown in photos. Blade remains straight and solid.
The scribe measures approximately 8.5" long and appears quite early, likely handmade. The thumb screw handle looks hand carved. There is a name stamped in two places, though it appears to have been struck over and is not easily readable. Based on construction, materials, and wear, these tools likely date to the mid- to late-1800s. Perfect for a collection but could be used for intended purpose!
