1880’s – 1910’s La Reine Opera Glasses, Leather and Brass

Measure:  4.25” wide, 3.5” tall when fully extended

These La Reine opera glasses were not only useful, but also fashion accessories!  A pair of opera glasses reflected the social status of their owner. The glasses were used primarily in theaters and opera houses during the 19th and early 20th centuries. "La Reine" was a French brand known for making high-quality opera glasses from the mid-to-late 1800s into the early 1900's. These glasses feature leather around the barrels with brass decorative rings top and bottom.  The focus knob turns easily and works well.  The lenses are in place and have no damage.  The leather shows signs of use but no damage.  These are in previously enjoyed vintage condition.  They are still very usable today!
