Vintage Handbags, 1920s Crochet and Macramé Handbag Set, Handmade, Lined, Fringed

Set of two handmade vintage handbags, likely dating to the 1920s–1930s. The smaller bag measures 9" long including fringe and 6" wide, with a 10" strap. It is made of delicate crochet work lined with pale blue polished cotton or rayon. There are two spots as shown, but overall, the bag is structurally sound and sweetly detailed.
The larger macramé-style bag measures approx. 14" long including fringe and 7" wide, with 5.5" wrist straps. Lined with what appears to be hand-stitched silk, it features an unusual early closure system—hook-like snaps that slide into place. No staining is visible. These bags are beautifully preserved examples of early 20th-century handiwork—ideal for vintage display, period costuming, or gentle use.
