The Stanley slides smoothly for adjustment, and both locking mechanisms function as intended.\u003cbr\u003eEach gauge is marked with a previous owner's name:\u003cbr\u003e•    McLean on the Stanley gauge. \u003cbr\u003e•    B. Rees on the earlier gauge. \u003cbr\u003eBoth have age-related patina from years of workshop use.
