Measures: 72" x 80"
This antique quilt features the classic Log Cabin pattern, a popular design from the mid-to-late 19th century. The quilt is pieced from a variety of cotton prints, including calicos, shirtings, and florals, with a red center square in each block, traditionally representing the warmth of the hearth. The fabrics suggest a date of early 1900's.
The quilt is hand-stitched with a striped pink backing, which may be original since the batting appears to be original but I'm not 100% sure. One square has damage, as shown in the photos, but the overall structure remains intact. Log Cabin quilts were often made from fabric scraps, making each one unique.
**Most quilts have been stored for some time. While I do not sell anything with strong or unpleasant odors, they may have a light storage scent. I air them outside before listing to freshen them up.**
